Davido is celebrating metal day as Axe 🪓 man
Metal is trending because Davido made a post celebrating metal day.
Unfortunately, the musician is not talking about the musical genre, which celebration is December 12th.
In short, the ‘Metal’ is code for Axe. David is celebrating 7/7.
The Neo Black Movement pka. Black Axe Confraternity, was founded on July 7th, 1977 by a group of nine students at the University of Benin in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, originally to fight injustice in the society.
Burna Boy, 2face Idibia, Davido, Tony Kabaka have been rumored to belong to the peaceful group. Compared to Zlatan, David is a new ‘bam’ as Zlatan has allegedly been bammed since his Mapoly days.
AYE — African Youth Empowerment. Unlike other confras, the Black Axe has maintained that they are freedom fighters, and they carry the Axe not as a tool of oppression. But as a symbol of hope and freedom, to cut through injustice and oppression.
The number “7” represents the axe 🪓 which is shaped like a big “7”. Their code is 0147 = 0 Beret — 1 Cutlass — 4 Gun — 7 Axe.
Apparently, any school where Black Axe has active members are called “High Temple”. Laspotech, IMSU, UNIBEN etc. Eluku high temple, Kenneth Kaunda High Temple and Futa Jallon high temple respectively.
Burna boy’s viral hit, Big 7, is allegedly dedicated to the group. Davido has included them in some of his songs, like Fem, Baddest Boy (remix).
Overalls, fans are disappointed in Davido. But he’s unbothered.
