Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno has appointed Mrs Elsie Peters as the state’s new Head of Service, taking over from Mr Effiong Essien, who has now retired from service.
The announcement was made in a statement issued in Uyo by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Enobong Uwah, and circulated to journalists on Monday.
In a separate action, the governor has also relieved two of his aides of their duties, effective immediately.
Those affected are Mr Joseph Ikpak, Senior Special Assistant on Support Services, and Mr Felix Ekuri, Special Assistant on Neighbourhood Watch.
