INEC Chairman Urges Staffs With Electoral Transparency
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Joash O Amupitan, has called on staff to renew their dedication to building a transparent electoral system as Christians mark Easter.
His message was directed to commissioners, electoral officers, and staff nationwide during the holiday period.
He said the season reflects hope, sacrifice, and renewal, urging workers to use the moment to strengthen their commitment to duty.
According to him, the commission is focused on creating a work environment where discipline is maintained, performance is recognised, and staff are prepared for modern election processes.
The chairman also advised staff to let values such as peace, unity, and service shape their dealings with stakeholders.
He noted that professionalism and neutrality remain key to strengthening trust in the electoral system and upholding the rule of law.
Looking ahead, he pointed to upcoming elections and the 2027 roadmap, urging staff to stay focused.
He added that recent exercises, including council polls in the FCT, showed what can be achieved through teamwork and dedication to democratic values.
