INEC Extends Party Register Deadline
The Independent National Electoral Commission has extended the deadline for political parties to submit their registers of members to May 10, 2026.
The new date replaces the earlier deadline of April 21, as contained in the commission’s revised timetable.
The extension is expected to give political parties more time to complete and verify their membership records in line with electoral requirements.
Officials say the move is part of efforts to ensure proper documentation and smooth preparation ahead of upcoming electoral activities.
