INEC Removes ADC Leaders From Portal
The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced it will remove the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola from its official portal for the African Democratic Congress.
The move affects their listings as national chairman and national secretary of the party.
The decision was made public through a statement issued by Mohammed Kudu Haruna, who chairs the Information and Voter Education Committee.
The commission said the action follows legal developments linked to the party’s leadership dispute.
The change is tied to preservatory orders issued by the Court of Appeal in the case involving Senator David Mark and other parties.
The court ruling requires steps to maintain the status quo pending the outcome of the appeal.
INEC said the update on its portal is part of efforts to comply fully with the court order while the legal process continues. The development adds a fresh twist to the ongoing leadership tussle within the party.
