Journalists Shut Out As El Rufai Trial Begins
Journalists were barred from the courtroom as the trial of Nasir el-Rufai began at the Federal High Court in Kaduna over alleged money laundering and conversion of public property.
El-Rufai appeared in court alongside Joel Adoga, facing charges brought by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.
The former minister had been in ICPC custody since February 19, following his earlier release by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Details of the proceedings remain limited due to restricted access, as the case begins amid growing public attention.
