Kaduna Community Hit By Fresh Abductions
Gunmen believed to be bandits struck several communities in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, abducting the Chief Imam of Janjala Central Mosque, Malam Bello Abdullahi, the Fulani leader of the area, Alhaji Shehu Bello, and a woman during coordinated attacks.
The assaults reportedly took place at night, with the attackers moving through different settlements and targeting prominent figures in the community.
Residents said the raids were swift, leaving little room for resistance before the victims were taken away.
The abduction of the religious and community leaders has deepened fear among locals, who described the incident as a heavy blow to peace and unity in the area.
Many residents have remained indoors, worried about possible follow-up attacks.
Security concerns have continued to grow in parts of southern Kaduna, where communities have repeatedly raised alarm over bandit violence.
Locals are hoping for urgent action that will lead to the safe return of those taken and restore calm to the affected areas.
