Mercy Johnson-Okojie has decided to drop the defamation lawsuit she filed against TikTok influencer Eedie Bliss.
Eedie Bliss was previously arrested over comments linked to the actress’ husband and family, a move that sparked intense reactions online. Following public pressure, the content creator was later released.
The decision to withdraw the case was made known on Saturday by social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM), who publicly acknowledged the actress’ action.
“@MercyJohnsonOkojie, thank you very much, my GREATEST OF ALL TIME, for dropping the case,” he wrote.
VDM also appealed to Nigerians to end what he described as excessive online harassment directed at Mercy Johnson and her family, urging people to allow them live in peace.
“Moving on, I am buying all defamation cases against Mercy Johnson and her family. The bullying is too much. You all should leave her family alone,” he added.
