Tragedy has struck the Nigerian Afrobeats community following the death of fast-rising singer Destiny Boy at the age of 22.
The young artiste’s passing has sparked widespread shock, with fans and colleagues flooding social media with emotional tributes and condolence messages. His death became more disturbing after a video surfaced online showing him unresponsive in a car while being transported to a mortuary, with cotton wool visible in his nostrils.
Sources close to the situation claim Destiny Boy experienced serious health complications shortly before he died, including vomiting blood. However, the exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed.
Destiny Boy was widely admired for his Fuji-influenced Afrobeats sound, which helped him build a strong following and stand out among his peers in the Nigerian music scene.
Beyond music, he had recently celebrated major personal milestones. He proposed to his partner with a diamond ring and became a father at just 20, moments that many fans recalled while mourning his sudden passing.
