Night Services Suspended In Ondo
The Ondo State Police Command has urged religious leaders across the state to halt night services due to rising security concerns.
The advisory comes amid reports of increased criminal activity in parts of the state, raising fears for public safety.
Police authorities said the request is a preventive step aimed at protecting worshippers and reducing exposure to possible attacks after dark.
They noted that security agencies are intensifying patrols and intelligence efforts to contain the situation.
The appeal was directed at churches, mosques and other worship centres that hold late-night gatherings. Community leaders have been encouraged to cooperate fully while security operatives work to restore calm.
The command assured residents that measures are being taken to address the insecurity and called on the public to remain vigilant and share useful information with law enforcement.
