Obi Faults Tinubu Over New Killings At Plateau
Peter Obi has criticised Bola Ahmed Tinubu following new attacks in Plateau State, saying recent events have cast doubt on assurances made to residents.
He pointed to a fresh incident in Jos South shortly after the President’s visit to victims in the area.
The comment came after Tinubu had addressed communities affected by violence and pledged that such attacks would not happen again.
Obi said the quick return of killings raises concerns about leadership and the ability to prevent further bloodshed.
He noted that violence has also been reported in other states, including Nasarawa, Zamfara, Borno, Benue, and Kaduna. According to him, the spread of attacks across multiple regions shows the scale of the security challenge facing the country.
Obi added that protecting lives and property remains the duty of government, warning that the situation is becoming more serious.
He described the ongoing violence as a national concern, with communities facing repeated attacks and growing fear.
