Rapper Oladips has claimed that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) collected N10 million from him before releasing him from custody.
Speaking in a podcast interview with Hip TV, Oladips recounted his arrest in November 2024 and the five days he spent in detention. He said that despite finding no incriminating evidence against him, the agency still demanded money before granting his freedom.
“I was cleared of everything, yet they still collected N10 million from me before I could go,” he said. “What was the money for? What was all that stress and suffering for?”
He expressed disappointment over the experience, adding, “It’s just Nigeria. Nigeria just happened to me.”
As of now, the EFCC has not issued an official response to his allegations.
