Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has assured traders that no one will lose their shop in the planned remodelling of markets in Aba.

Otti gave the assurance while addressing concerns raised by traders over the ongoing modernisation efforts.

He said the project is aimed at improving infrastructure, sanitation and overall business conditions, not displacing lawful occupants.

According to the governor, the remodelling will transform the markets into more organised and accessible commercial hubs, boosting economic activities in Aba and beyond.

He stressed that all genuine traders would be accommodated once the project is completed.

Otti added that the state government is committed to engaging stakeholders throughout the process to ensure transparency and fairness.
