Senators Visits Maiduguri Victims After Bomb Attack
Mohammed Ali Ndume and Usman Zannah on Thursday visited victims of recent bomb attacks in Maiduguri, receiving care at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and other medical centres.
The visit followed deadly explosions that struck parts of the city earlier in the week.
The blasts, which occurred on Monday at busy locations including the Post Office area, Monday Market, and near the hospital, left at least 23 people dead and more than 100 injured.
Survivors are still undergoing treatment as the city recovers from the attacks.
Ndume, who had travelled for pilgrimage, returned and went straight to the hospital to meet victims and their families.
He offered support and financial help to ease medical expenses, urging those affected to remain hopeful during the difficult period.
Zannah also expressed concern over the attacks and commended the efforts of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Babagana Zulum, medical workers, and security agencies for their response.
He advised residents to stay alert, avoid crowded areas, and report suspicious activities, especially during the festive season.
