Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has ridiculed President Bola Tinubu online following the president’s controversial claim that corruption no longer exists in Nigeria.
Tinubu made the remark on Monday while meeting with Brazilian investors, where he highlighted Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms and insisted they were yielding tangible results.
“It’s getting clearer to the people. We have more money for the economy, and no more corruption,” Tinubu stated, boasting about the state of governance since he assumed office in 2023.
The comment has drawn widespread criticism, with many Nigerians disputing the president’s claim.
Reacting on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, Sowore shared a video clip from the event and accused Tinubu of shamelessly lying. He wrote: “This criminal actually went to Brazil to state that there is NO MORE corruption under his regime in Nigeria. What audacity to lie shamelessly!”
