Sowore is trending because despite his impressive cardio, Nigerians are accusing the AAC 2023 Presidential Candidate of playing a script to trap Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer and brother in Kuje Prison.
On Monday, Omoyele Sowore led a #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest, Barr. Aloy Ejimakor and Prince Emmanuel Kanu joined and got arrested along with 10 other people.
According to the Police, the 12 of them flouted court order by protesting in a prohibited area. Resulting to; denying citizens freedom of movement and disrupting traffic while chanting war songs. And were charged as such.
They were arraigned today, Tuesday, and all remanded in Kuje Correctional Facility, the time frame wasn’t disclosed by any report. Sowore and other players described it as — illegal.
So, Nigerians are saying, Omoyele Sowore who led the protest wasn’t arrested, instead it is key players in the trial that got arrested. Yet he (Sowore) the leader of the protest, went to the station to see the arrested, and came out free.
Also, some are faulting him for choosing to disrupt the EndSars memorial.
This has reignited the conspiracy theories, of Sowore being a political tool. And this time, was used to weaken Nnamdi Kanu’s trial.
Sowore followers argue that, yes he ran when the police shot at them, and able to avoid arrest because he’s been an activist for about 30yrs, so his experience came in handy.
Sowore is yet to react to the social media allegations. But has raised alarm that, President Bola Almed Tinibu allegedly plans to deploy special warders to Kuje to harm Kanu and Barr. Aloy.
