NIDCOM Boss, Abike Dabiri confronted Rufai Oseni today at Eko Hotel, for falsely accusing her of Bigotry., Rufai unable to explain himself, dissapeared from the venue, according to eye witnesses.
Last month Hon. Abike Dabiri went viral after reacting to a post where someone defended her from rampaging ethnics attacks.
Apparently, VoiceOfIgbos has been aggressively piling on Abike Dabiri since 2022, accusing her of bigotry and hatred for Igbos.
So, Wale Akerele replied and returned the insults to the anonymous VoiceOfIgbos page, and in same breath, hailed the NIDCOM Chairman.
According to witnesses, today at Eko Hotel, Abike Dabiri and Rufai Oseni, both were on the panel of “The Ethics of Governance”. Rufai arrived late and proceeded to greet Abike Dabiri and other guests.
On approaching her, she asked Rufai about the malicious post he shared across social media in September, accusing her of referring to the Igbos as Mo*nkeys and Gori/llas.
— Rufai instantly denied any wrongdoing.
Forcing Hon. Abike to ask if he knew that the VoicOfIgbo is allegedly ran by a lady living in Lagos, who used vile words like “Ape” “Mother Ape” “bigot” etc, at her, to which, Akerele replied to?
— Rufai said he wasn’t aware of this information.
So, Abike Dabiri concluded, advising Rufai that, as a Journalist with the reputable Arise TV, he should not be relying on reports from unverified sources and platforms of misinformation.
As she focused on preparing for her panel session, Rufai Oseni desperately tried explaining how he personally didn’t make any defamatory remarks at her. He also tried pitching his explanations to other dignitaries, particularly, John Momoh and Mahmud Ali Balogun, which only got the atmosphere more tensed.
According to eye witnesses, as Abike Dabiri began her session on Ethics of Governance, Rufai Oseni, appeared uncomfortable, nervous and anxious. Then, slowly faded away and left the venue.
People around murmured that he should have just apologized for sharing malicious reports on Abike Dabiri, instead of unnecessarily trying to “smart” his way out of his misdeeds.
Turned out the said, anonymous VoiceofIgbo page has been insulting the NIDCOM boss since 2022.
