During the ranking period, Nigeria played five matches — drawing once with South Africa, winning twice against Rwanda (1-0) and Congo (2-0), and losing twice to Sudan (4-0) and Senegal (1-0).

On the African continent, Nigeria holds 6th place, trailing Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Globally, Spain climbed to the top of the rankings, replacing Argentina as world number one for the first time since 2014. Slovakia made the biggest leap, rising 10 places to 42nd.

FIFA noted that over 200 international matches were played since the last update, significantly influencing the rankings.
