The 2023 presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Adewole Adebayo, has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has disappointed Nigerians in every aspect of governance.
Adebayo made the remark on Tuesday while answering questions during an interview on Prime Time, a programme aired on Arise Television.
He accused the Tinubu administration of neglecting critical sectors such as security, education, justice, and poverty reduction.
“I thought they would recognise that the country needs security and ensure safety across Nigeria, but they haven’t done much.
“New terror groups are emerging, communities in the Middle Belt are turning against each other, and Boko Haram remains undefeated. Today, you’re more likely to see officials taking selfies with terrorists than fighting them,” Adebayo said.
Commenting on the economy, the former presidential candidate criticised the government’s approach to poverty and development.
He faulted the administration’s student loan scheme, stressing that poor infrastructure and persistent strikes render it ineffective.
Adebayo equally criticised the recent presidential pardons, describing them as a fiasco.
He called on Nigerians to reject any move to return the Tinubu administration to power, cautioning that a second term would further deepen the nation’s humiliation.
