Tinubu Grants Transit Trucks New Route
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has instructed the Nigeria Customs Service to allow trucks carrying transit goods to Niger Republic to pass through Benin Republic and Kebbi State.
The move aims to ease the flow of trade and reduce delays for vehicles transporting essential goods across borders.
It reflects the government’s focus on improving regional logistics and supporting commerce.
The directive was confirmed by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, who assured that necessary arrangements would be made to facilitate smooth passage for transit trucks.
Officials said the measure is expected to benefit traders and improve transit efficiency, while reinforcing cooperation with neighbouring countries along the route.
