Tinubu Visit To Disrupt Lagos Traffic
The Lagos State Government has announced partial road closures across key parts of the state ahead of project inaugurations scheduled for April 8 and 9, 2026.
The move is tied to activities involving Bola Tinubu, with motorists advised to plan ahead.
The travel advisory, issued by the Ministry of Transportation, said the restrictions are to ensure safety and smooth movement during the events.
Commissioner Oluwaseun Osiyemi explained that areas including Ikeja, Ojota, Ajegunle and Victoria Island will be affected.
On April 8, traffic will be impacted between 9am and 1pm around Opebi, Allen Avenue and Ojota during the inauguration of the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge.
The following day, similar restrictions will apply in Ajegunle for a school project, while movement around Victoria Island, including Eko Hotel, may slow down later in the evening.
Authorities said traffic officials will be on ground to manage the situation, urging residents to cooperate and use alternative routes as the temporary measures take effect.
