UTME Registration Dates Finally Released
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the timeline for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration, giving candidates across Nigeria a clear window to prepare.
The registration will run from January 26 to February 28, 2026, and will take place at approved Computer-Based Test centres nationwide.
The board disclosed this during a meeting with state commissioners for education held in Lagos on Saturday.
Ahead of the registration period, the sale of UTME application documents, known as ePINs, will begin earlier, starting from January 19 and ending on February 26.
Candidates who wish to take part in the mock examination must make their selection on or before February 16.
For Direct Entry applicants, the sale of application documents and ePINs will commence on March 2 and close on April 25.
JAMB also said results for underage candidates will only be released after a full review process to properly assess those seeking age waivers.
The board added that all CBT centres involved in the exercise will be monitored live from its headquarters, warning that any centre not visible during registration may face sanctions.
Candidates were also advised to register early, declare any past admissions truthfully, and note that only those who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are generally eligible, with exceptions subjected to strict evaluation.
