Whitemoney has tendered a heartfelt apology to celebrity businessman Cubana Chief Priest after a TikTok video featuring him and a woman alleged to be Chief Priest’s baby mama, Helen, went viral.
The reality TV star came under heavy criticism after clips from a TikTok live session showed him engaging in a match with Helen, sparking mixed reactions online. Many viewers interpreted the video as an indirect dig at Cubana Chief Priest.
Addressing the controversy in a video, Whitemoney clarified that his actions were misunderstood and insisted that he had no intention of disrespecting Chief Priest.
“Good morning everybody afternoon wherever you’re watching me from um there’s a video making around the internet now and um people are having different opinions but first of all i want to apologize to my brother Chief Priest. I’m very very sorry if that video has stirred up something or is coming to you in a bad way. It was not my intent at all,” he said.
Whitemoney explained that he did not initially realize he was matched with Helen until the session was already underway. According to him, when she began making comments during the live, he decided to go along with the match instead of abruptly cutting it short.
He further revealed that his decision to share the video was not to mock Chief Priest but rather to show solidarity with him. “I posted that video to defend my own brother Pascal and also promote the song because we had a lot of views while she was ranting. I would never do anything to humiliate Chief Priest because he is one of the people who made me who I am today. I know how much he invested in my campaign and I’m eternally grateful,” he said.
Whitemoney concluded his apology by stressing that the clip was taken out of context and assured that he has since taken it down from his platform. He extended his apologies not only to Cubana Chief Priest but also to anyone else who may have felt offended by the viral video.
