Why Eno Met With Tinubu
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has explained that his recent trip to see President Bola Tinubu and his visit to a major farm in Nasarawa were part of efforts to advance development in the state.
He spoke on Sunday after arriving at Victor Attah International Airport.
He said the meeting with the President was a routine engagement where governors brief the nation’s leader on issues affecting their states and seek needed support.
According to him, the visit formed part of ongoing consultations on matters within his region.
Eno also disclosed that his stop at the CSS Farm in Nasarawa was a study visit.
He noted that the aim was to observe how the large-scale agricultural facility operates and draw lessons that could improve the Ibom Model Farm project.
The governor added that comparing ideas and learning from other success stories would help his administration strengthen agriculture and expand economic opportunities in Akwa Ibom.
