Young Aspirant Writes To Jonathan And Others Ahead Of 2027
Francis Onyema has informed former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan of his plan to contest in the 2027 presidential election.
The 38-year-old from Delta State is seeking the ticket of the National Rescue Movement.
He also sent similar letters to prominent figures including the Oba of Benin, the Emir of Kano, and Femi Falana as part of wider consultations ahead of his official declaration.
The announcement is expected to take place on March 25, 2026, in Abuja, where Onyema plans to unveil his ideas on leadership reform and governance.
He is promoting a shift from traditional politics to what he describes as a reform-driven approach, arguing that elections should be based on clear plans and ideas rather than influence or wealth.
