Abbo Alleges Betrayal In ADC
Ishaku Abbo has blamed the leadership crisis in the African Democratic Congress on alleged betrayal and internal disagreements within the party.
He said an opposition coalition failed to honour an agreement with Nafiu Bala after taking control of the party’s structure, worsening tensions among key stakeholders.
The dispute escalated after the Independent National Electoral Commission de-recognised factions led by David Mark and Bala, further deepening uncertainty over the party’s leadership.
Abbo also pointed to external interference as a factor fueling the crisis, warning that the ongoing conflict could weaken the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Observers say the situation has exposed deep divisions within the ADC, with rival camps struggling for control while legal and political battles continue.
