Senator Okey Ezea, who represented Enugu North Senatorial District in Enugu State, has died.
Ezea was elected on the Labour Party platform and was the sole member of the National Assembly from Enugu State.
Reports indicate that Senator Ezea passed away on Tuesday while undergoing medical treatment in the United Kingdom.
The news was first shared by popular on-air personality ‘Senator’ Chijinkem Ugwuanyi via Facebook.
He posted: “Sad News. Senator Okey Ezea, representing Enugu North, is dead… Rest in Peace.”
It was also revealed that Ezea had earlier sought treatment in Germany.
Although the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, the announcement has sparked widespread reactions across social media.
