Announced as winners were Rasheedat Fagbenle, who clinched the grand prize, as well as Tito Abumere, Janefrancis Odinkemma Ugwu from Abuja, Cyril Usheshe from Cross River State, and Timileyin Durotoye from Osun State.

Speaking during the event, Lee McManis, Country Public Diplomacy Counsellor at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja, explained that the competition was created to foster stronger cultural understanding and economic collaboration between the two nations.

He reaffirmed America’s commitment to its economic partnership with Nigeria, noting that more than 100 major US companies currently operate within the country. He added that the expanding relationship continues to deliver shared benefits to both sides.

“This contest goes beyond promoting American products and brands. It celebrates the long-standing partnership between the United States and Nigeria, rooted in trade, mutual respect and a shared vision for progress,” McManis said.

Reacting to her victory, the grand prize winner, 21-year-old Rasheedat Fagbenle, a final-year Political Science student at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, expressed joy and appreciation for the recognition, describing it as a strong motivation for her creative pursuits.
