Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has promised to expose a colleague who allegedly provided false information to blogger Cutie Julls, following her recent court victory over a defamatory story linking her to former senator Dino Melaye.
Adunni Ade took to social media to celebrate the win, writing, “I won my case – Adunni Ade vs. Polace Media Limited. A false story was published about me, but the truth stood tall. This judgment reaffirms that privacy matters – and so does integrity. Justice delayed isn’t justice denied.”
The Lagos High Court ruled in her favor, awarding her ₦20 million in damages and ordering the removal of her name and image from the publication. She also thanked her lawyer, Olumide Babalola, for his dedication and hard work throughout the case.
Adunni issued a stern warning to anyone evading legal proceedings, saying, “You who are running up and down avoiding court papers, please stand still so you can be served.”
She also called out the actress she believes was responsible for feeding the false story to the blogger, accusing her of envy and malice. “Very soon the world will know the kind of snake you are. Envy and bitterness live and breathe in you. You are deadly! You must have forgotten what you showed me in my room?”
Adunni concluded by thanking the Nigerian judiciary for upholding her rights, stressing the importance of protecting privacy and integrity in the public eye.
The case has been hailed as a landmark ruling in Nigeria, reinforcing the need to hold individuals accountable for spreading false information.
