Arsenal have completed the signing of 27-year-old England international Eberechi Eze, who returns to north London, where his football journey began in the club’s academy before he rose to prominence as one of the Premier League’s most dynamic attacking talents.
Eze joined Queens Park Rangers in 2016 and broke through in the 2019/20 season, earning QPR’s Player of the Year award. He moved to the Premier League with Crystal Palace in 2020, where over five seasons at Selhurst Park he made more than 150 appearances. His highlight came in May, scoring the winning goal in Palace’s historic FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City.
On the international stage, Eze represented England at youth levels before making his senior debut in 2023. He has since earned 11 caps and was part of the Euro 2024 squad. In March, he scored his first international goal in a 3-0 World Cup 2026 qualifying win against Latvia.
Sporting Director Andrea Berta said: “We are thrilled to have completed this deal for Eberechi. He is a creative and explosive talent with exceptional technical quality. A big-game player, his experience with England at international level underscores both his ability and character. The teamwork across the club to make this transfer happen has been excellent, and we are confident he will be a key addition to our squad as we continue building for success.”
Manager Mikel Arteta added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Eberechi to Arsenal. He is a powerful and exciting player who adds a new dimension to our attack. Equally impressive is his hard work and determination throughout his career. His journey, mentality, and ambition align perfectly with our team values, and it’s clear how much this move means to him and his family. We look forward to working with him soon.”
Eberechi will wear the number 10 shirt and will join his new teammates after this weekend’s match against Leeds United. Everyone at Arsenal welcomes him to the club.
