Ali Oladeinde Akinyele, founder of the renowned manufacturing companies AkinOcean Nigeria and Allison Foam, died on Wednesday following a short illness.
Born on April 18, 1947, into the distinguished royal family of Agata Shokun Onilegbale in Isale Eko, the late Akinyele began his professional life as a draughtsman.
He refined his entrepreneurial skills while serving as a Trainee Business Associate at Isiaka Rabiu and Sons in Kano, where he worked for several years under the mentorship of the business magnate, Alhaji Isiaka Rabiu.
During his career, he guided and inspired several young entrepreneurs, including the future Chairman of BUA Group, before venturing out to build his own thriving enterprises.
A devout Muslim and respected philanthropist, Alhaji Akinyele was well known for his remarkable generosity and continuous contributions to various human development initiatives.
He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Throughout his lifetime, he supported numerous small businesses and made substantial donations to religious and charitable organisations.
Islamic funeral rites will be conducted at the Community Central Mosque, Alausa Secretariat, after which he will be laid to rest at the Abari Cemetery on Lagos Island.
