A video capturing Tiwa Savage in tears during a live performance has gone viral online.
The singer became emotional while performing her hit track Somebody’s Son at the WeLovEya Festival in Cotonou, Benin Republic, struggling to continue as she battled through her tears.
The festival, which featured top African artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, saw fans rally behind Tiwa, cheering her on as she tried to complete her performance despite the emotional moment.
Tiwa Savage has previously opened up about her personal struggles with love and relationships. She divorced her ex-husband, Tunji ‘TeeBillz’ Balogun, in 2018 and has often spoken about the difficulty of balancing her flourishing music career with her personal life.
