FRSC Sends Warnings To Motorists on Valentine’s Day
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned motorists across the country to avoid drunk driving and over-speeding as they celebrate Valentine’s Day.
In a statement issued ahead of the celebration, the Corps advised drivers to exercise caution, noting that festive periods often record increased road crashes due to reckless driving and alcohol consumption.
The FRSC stressed that driving under the influence of alcohol endangers not only the driver but also passengers and other road users.
It also cautioned against excessive speeding, urging motorists to obey traffic rules and speed limits.
The agency assured Nigerians that patrol teams would be deployed nationwide to monitor traffic and ensure compliance with safety regulations throughout the celebration.
The Corps encouraged road users to prioritize safety, remain responsible, and make the day memorable for the right reasons.
