Fuel Prices Surge Again
Petrol prices in Nigeria have climbed sharply, hitting about ₦1,330 per litre in Lagos and ₦1,370 in Abuja as tensions in the Middle East push costs higher.
The latest increase was observed across several filling stations on Monday.
The rise follows ongoing instability linked to the Iran crisis, which has disrupted global oil markets and driven up fuel prices.
In Lagos, some stations adjusted prices upward by about ₦100 per litre within days.
In Abuja, major outlets also raised pump prices, with some locations selling even higher depending on supply conditions.
The changes have sparked fresh concerns among motorists and businesses already struggling with rising expenses.
The latest surge is expected to worsen inflation and increase transport costs nationwide, as Nigerians brace for further economic pressure.
