Nigerian TikTok sensation Geh Geh has reacted strongly after his account, which had amassed over 3 million followers, was banned by the platform.

In a candid video, Geh Geh expressed his frustration, saying TikTok had turned him into a “useless Nigerian” by taking down his account without proper notice. He claimed that many users’ accounts were removed without explanation, and he criticized the platform for failing to reach out to him directly.

He also took aim at people close to him who he said celebrated his misfortune instead of offering support. “You are rejoicing over another person’s pain and suffering,” Geh Geh said, highlighting the insensitivity of friends and acquaintances who posted about his account ban on social media.

Despite the setback, Geh Geh emphasized his resilience. He acknowledged that life has its highs and lows, stating, “Life is up and down; 365 days in a year, there’s no way I can be happy every day. Some days are good, some days are bad, but I am equal to the task.”

He urged individuals to take responsibility for their own challenges, stressing that people should fix problems themselves rather than relying on others.

Geh Geh’s experience underscores ongoing concerns over TikTok’s content moderation practices in Nigeria, where millions of videos have been removed for alleged violations of community guidelines. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, more than 3.6 million videos were deleted from Nigerian accounts, reflecting a sharp increase from previous periods.
