Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday approved bail of ₦500 million each for former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, his wife, and their son, attaching stringent conditions to their release.
The court ruled that the sureties must possess landed property in Asokoro, Maitama, and Gwarinpa, with all property documents verified by the deputy chief registrar. They are also required to swear an affidavit of means.
Malami was ordered to surrender his travel documents to the court and is prohibited from leaving the country without the court’s express permission.
