I Can Lead From Kaduna – Obi
Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has insisted he can effectively govern Nigeria from Kaduna if elected, saying distance from Abuja would not hinder his duties.
He spoke on Sunday while meeting African Democratic Congress stakeholders in Kaduna.
Obi noted that Abuja is less than two hours away, making it easy to attend meetings and oversee national affairs.
His visit is part of ongoing consultations to engage party leaders and gauge political support ahead of the 2027 elections.
He described Kaduna as a historically strategic state with strong industrial, agricultural, and commercial potential, stressing that the right leadership could restore its former prominence.
Obi also warned that national division remains a major barrier to development.
The former presidential candidate further visited Kano to meet Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and members of the Kwankwasiyya movement, signalling efforts to forge political alliances.
He said leadership depends on vision and commitment rather than location, as he continues to advocate for unity and inclusive governance.
