Nigerian content creator Jarvis broke down in tears as she revealed that her biological mother is currently battling an undisclosed illness, calling it one of the most painful realities of her life.
In a heartfelt video shared online, Jarvis said the situation is not something that money can fix. “My mum is sick, and that’s my reality right now. This isn’t something money can fix,” she said, visibly emotional.
She also opened up about her father’s absence from her life, explaining that she has been trying to locate him amid the ongoing family struggles.
Jarvis admitted that one reason she had kept quiet for so long is her fear that social media users might turn her mother’s illness into content or use it against her.
Although she did not disclose the exact nature of her mother’s condition, Jarvis focused on the emotional toll it has taken on her and her family.
“My mum is sick, and that’s my reality right now. This isn’t something money can fix. My father has been absent, and I’ve been the one searching for him. I’m scared social media would use my mother’s condition into content or use it against me.”
