Matawalle Plans Massive Family Wedding
Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, is set to host a unique joint wedding for nine of his children on February 6, 2026. The ceremony will take place at the Central Mosque in Abuja.
Matawalle, who has four wives, is organising the large-scale event to coincide for all the children on the same day, creating a rare and notable family celebration.
Several couples have been identified in the invitations. Among them, Nana Bello Matawalle will marry former Zamfara State House of Assembly Speaker Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, while Farida Bello Matawalle is set to wed Ibrahim Sahabi Liman. Other children, including Safiya and Aisha Bello Matawalle, will also mark their marriages during the event.
The wedding invitations were shared publicly by Dan Jafaru Aleengoo Turakee, confirming the date, venue, and names of the couples.
The ceremony is expected to attract prominent guests, dignitaries, and well-wishers from across Nigeria, making it one of the country’s most talked-about family events of the year.
