The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has cautioned members of the public against an invitation for a technical and practical screening exercise for recruitment into the Commission.
In a statement issued by Nura Tanko Wakili, Head, Press and Public Affairs, the Commission described the alleged recruitment exercise, which is said to be scheduled for Kainji Hydro Power Station, New Bussa, Niger State, as false and deceptive, stating that it is designed to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
The Commission further clarified that there is presently no recruitment process taking place, emphasising that the invitation did not originate from the organisation.
The statement reads: “The attention of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has been drawn to a purported invitation for a technical and practical screening exercise for recruitment into the Commission, scheduled to take place at Kainji Hydro Power Station, New Bussa, Niger State.
“The information is false, misleading, and baseless, and is intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.”
N-HYPPADEC urged members of the public to disregard the invitation and to consistently verify information through official channels in order to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
The Commission assured the public that it will remain committed to protecting citizens from scams and ensuring that only genuine and legitimate opportunities are pursued.
