The National Assembly on Tuesday approved a budget of N1.50 trillion for the Nigerian Army for the 2026 fiscal year, promising to support the swift release of funds.

The decision was taken during plenary as part of the ongoing review of defence spending.

Lawmakers said the allocation is aimed at strengthening the Army’s operations across the country.

They pledged close oversight to ensure the money is used for equipment, welfare and ongoing security missions.

The approval comes at a time when the military continues to battle insurgency, banditry and other threats in several regions.

Legislators said stable funding is key to improving operational readiness and troop morale.

They assured the Army of continued cooperation, stating that timely disbursement of the funds would help fast-track planned projects and enhance national security efforts.

Vuabet… Decent site. Pretty standard fair but nothing really amazing. Probably worth a checkout if you’re interested in what they’ve got. vuabet
