Osun is trending because Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared Osun BATIFIED for 2027, recognizing Tinubu as a proud son of Osun State.

Osun indigenes feel it is an unfortunate decision, as Osun APC continues to reject Adeleke.

After months of rumors of an impending switch from PDP to APC, Gov Adeleke quelled the rumors once and for all.

Reiterating he’s not leaving the PDP. But for the 2027 Presidential elections, Osun PDP has decided to endorsed Bola Ahmed Tinubu. While, he has also been endorsed for a second term by Osun PDP.

Meanwhile, Bola Oyebamiji a gubernatorial aspirant for APC in Osun, was quoted saying, Adeleke would be rejected and voted out in 2026 because he totally mismanaged state funds and distorted the progress the state has enjoyed for years.

Oyebamiji assured stakeholders that in 2026 Osun will return to APC. And he has assurance from the top that they are already in control, and the LG issues would be sorted in earnest.

This statements from Oyebamiji casts extra shadows over Adeleke’s future. Some suggest, he’s gambling with rigged dice.

From the barely looks, it is likely that, Adeleke’s move to APC collapsed due to federal’s inability to reach agreement with Osun APC.

Last week, Nigeria’s political Fabrizio, Imran Muhammed reported that Adeleke was set to join APC as terms had been agreed. Although his report within context is perhaps still accurate.

Political analysts are now comparing Adeleke to Wike, labelling his announcement as anti-party.

Now, APC and PDP influencers may work together in a forced marriage. While most Osun APC folks, insist he would lose in 2026 to Osun APC.

Adeleke’s switch to APC would have been due to the local government election issue. Which triggered FG to withhold allocations since February.

Analysts believed Adeleke’s only chance of second term victory was an alignment with APC.

The LG issue started from 2022, in summary: PDP legally removed APC’s LG chairmen, won the case in court, held their own LG elections, APC kicked and somehow Adeleke fell short on Tinubu’s good side, allegedly.
