Obi Demands Action After Kwara Killings
Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, has condemned the recent attacks in Kwara State that left dozens dead, urging the federal and state governments to take urgent steps to curb rising insecurity.
He described the killings as tragic and unacceptable, stressing that citizens must be protected from the escalating wave of violence by armed groups. Obi called for a coordinated security strategy to prevent further loss of lives and reassure vulnerable communities.
The former presidential candidate also emphasised that political leaders must prioritise safety over rhetoric, ensuring that resources are effectively deployed to tackle terrorism, banditry, and criminal networks.
Obi urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities while appealing for swift, decisive government action to restore peace and order in the affected areas.
