Okpebholo Inaugurates 100 Megawatts Generating Plant
The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has carried out the groundbreaking ceremony for a major energy project in the state.
The project includes a 100-megawatt power generating plant and a liquefied natural gas facility with a capacity of 300 metric tonnes per day.
The ceremony took place at the Taihu Industrial Park in Ologbo, located in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area.
Government officials, project partners and community representatives attended the event as work officially began on the energy development.
The project is expected to strengthen power supply and support industrial activities within the area.
It is also aimed at expanding energy infrastructure and creating opportunities for businesses operating in the industrial park.
With construction now underway, the facility is anticipated to contribute to electricity generation and gas processing in Edo State once completed.
