Omoyele Sowore has demanded the immediate release of Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, activist Fineboy Kanu, and other individuals he says were “illegally arrested, tortured, and forced into detention” over the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protests.

In a post on X early Monday, Sowore directly addressed the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, @FCT_PoliceNG, warning that failure to release the detainees would lead to a street mobilization by his supporters.

“@FCT_PoliceNG is instructed to release Barrister @AloyEjimakor, Fineboy Kanu, and others illegally arrested, tortured, and currently being forced into detention over #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest immediately, or we will mobilize the entire crew now on the street to the FCT command and occupy their office!” he wrote.

The demand comes amid heightened tensions following nationwide protests calling for the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, who is facing treason-related charges. Security agencies have recently detained several demonstrators in Abuja and other cities, citing concerns over public safety.

Sowore’s warning indicates a possible escalation, with the activist threatening to lead protesters to the FCT Police headquarters if the detainees are not freed. The situation underscores the growing friction between protest organizers and security authorities, both online and on the streets.
