President Bola Tinubu held a meeting with the Sultan of Sokoto, Sultan Muhammad Sa’adu Abubakar, at the State House on Friday.
The meeting was confirmed by Tinubu’s Special Assistant on New Media, Dada Olusegun, on X, noting that it forms part of the president’s ongoing consultations with religious and traditional leaders.
The session comes just days after Tinubu met with the Archbishop of Abuja, Bishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama.
Olusegun shared a video of the meeting, writing: “As part of wide consultations with Religious and Traditional leaders, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Sultan Muhammad Sa’adu Abubakar at the State House today, just a few days after meeting Bishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama, the Archbishop of Abuja.”
