EKEDC Announces Power Outage After Fire
The Eko Electricity Distribution Company has confirmed a power outage in parts of Lagos after a fire broke out along the Lekki-Epe corridor, leaving several communities without electricity.
The company said the incident was caused by a crash involving a gas tanker, which sparked flames that damaged key power infrastructure, including feeders and overhead lines.
Areas such as Sangotedo, Awoyaya, and Eputu have been affected, with engineers already working to fix the damage and restore supply as soon as possible.
The outage follows a recent explosion in the Ajah area that led to loss of lives and property, raising fresh concerns among residents as repair efforts continue.
