May Yul-Edochie, popularly known as Queen May and the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has served a cease-and-desist notice to her former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, and a U.S.-based woman, Yinka Theisen, over alleged cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and defamation.

Through her legal firm, Graylaw Partners, Queen May accused the two individuals of posting harmful content about her across social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook. She claimed these publications damaged her reputation and business interests.

In separate letters to Ugwuonye and Theisen, her lawyers demanded that they immediately stop posting such content, remove existing posts, issue a public apology, and publish retractions on all platforms where the statements appeared. Queen May is also seeking financial compensation of N1 billion from Ugwuonye and N500 million from Theisen.

The legal team alleged that Ugwuonye had previously mishandled confidential information and that his actions worsened the situation, exposing her to further harm. The letter to Theisen accused her of amplifying negative narratives online and encouraging others to spread them.

Both letters warned that failure to comply within 48 hours would force Queen May to pursue civil and criminal legal action to protect her rights and reputation. The notices emphasized that Ugwuonye’s access to privileged information during their professional relationship, if misused, represented a breach of trust and professional ethics, while Theisen’s actions deepened the reputational damage by promoting and circulating harmful content.
