Benibo Anabraba, Secretary to the Rivers State Government, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The resignation, communicated in a letter dated January 5, 2026, was addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ward 1 in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.
In the letter, Anabraba described his decision to leave the party as “personal” and thanked the PDP for the “political leverage gained during my period of membership.”
Although he did not disclose his next political step, reports suggest that Anabraba is planning to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
