Singer Tems has shared that if her music career hadn’t flourished, she would have likely pursued a career in mathematics or accounting.
In a recent interactive session with fans on X, she revealed her fondness for numbers, saying she might have become an accountant or even a mathematics teacher. The discussion arose when a fan asked what she would be doing today if music had not worked out.
Tems left her job as a digital marketer in January 2018 to fully commit to her music. Since then, she has achieved remarkable success, releasing her debut single, “Mr Rebel,” in July 2018 and later featuring on Wizkid’s hit “Essence,” which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Reflecting on her alternative career paths, Tems said, “I might have been an accountant or a mathematics teacher,” highlighting her love for numbers alongside her musical talent.
